When you first visit medianarrative.one, a cookie banner offers three choices:

- Reject all: Enables essential cookies only. Analytics cookies are not set. Your choice is stored for 6 months.
- Customise: Opens a panel where you can enable or disable analytics cookies individually. Essential cookies remain active.
Your consent preference is stored in the mn_cookie_consent cookie for six months. After expiry, the banner will appear again on your next visit.
5. Browser controls

9. Local storage
In addition to cookies, our website may use browser local storage to cache cookie consent preferences as a backup mechanism. Local storage data remains on your device until cleared through browser settings or until our JavaScript removes expired entries. No personal data beyond your cookie category preferences is stored in local storage.
10. Third-party embeds
Media Narrative currently does not embed third-party social media widgets, video players or advertising trackers on medianarrative.one. If we add such embeds in future, this Cookie Policy will be updated to list any additional cookies set by those third parties, and consent will be requested before activation where required.
11. Cookie consent and PDPA
Our cookie consent mechanism aligns with Singapore PDPA requirements for notifying individuals about data collection and obtaining consent where appropriate. Essential cookies that enable basic website functionality do not require consent. Analytics cookies require your active choice via the cookie banner before they are placed on your device. Your consent record is stored for six months, after which you will be asked to confirm your preferences again.
12. Cookie lifecycle
The mn_cookie_consent cookie stores a JSON-encoded preference object indicating which cookie categories you have accepted. When you click "Accept all", the stored value enables essential, analytics and marketing flags in the consent record — though Media Narrative currently activates only essential and analytics cookies in practice. When you click "Reject all", only essential cookies remain active. The "Customise" option allows granular control over analytics cookies while keeping essential cookies always enabled. Preferences persist across browser sessions until the six-month expiry period elapses or you clear cookies manually.
